What is Agri-PV?

Instead of using agricultural land exclusively for food cultivation, we integrate solar systems into the structure. This innovative combination enables sustainable and efficient utilisation of land resources. The arrangement of the solar panels is adapted to the topographical conditions and the type of agricultural activities. With vertically mounted PV modules, farming takes place between the rows of modules, while with vertically mounted PV modules, the area below the modules is cultivated.

Conserves resources: The temporary shading provided by vertically mounted PV modules protects the plants from strong solar radiation and evaporation (area-related evapotranspiration). This also reduces the amount of water required for plant cultivation. This is particularly advantageous in regions with water shortages and supports resource-saving agriculture. Elevated PV modules also offer protection against heavy rain, hail and frost, as the ground heat remains under the system.
